Accenture has acquired Redmond, WA-based agile transformation services provider SolutionsIQ, in order to capitalize on the company’s experienced team of agile coaches. Financial details of the deal are not yet clear.
“SolutionsIQ’ coaches are among the most sought-after experts in the industry,” said Bhaskar Ghosh, Group Chief Executive at Accenture Technology Services. “Today, agile is more than just a software development methodology. For the digital enterprise that is rotating to rapidly evolving digital technologies – or New IT – it’s becoming a way of life.”
SolutionsIQ is reported to have employed about 200 people, most of whom are based in North America. In addition to technology services, SolutionsIQ offers components of agile foundation courses, certified training capabilities, and coaching and guidance to accelerate agile adoption.
With offices in the United States as well as India, SolutionsIQ helps organizations apply agile principles and practices to speed up software development process.

The IT outsourcing firm is hoping that SolutionsIQ coaches will expand its agility to help clients reduce investment risk, accelerate time to market for new products and services, and support design that delivers better customer experiences.

This is Accenture’s second acquisition this month after it announced the purchase of LabAnswer, which offers to help life sciences firms integrate and analyze complex research data.
