Allied Global has snapped up a contact center service provider in North America. Its pick is Alliance iCommunications, based in Ontario, Canada. The acquisition adds 9 call centers and 1,700 full time employees to Allied’s operations.
The Overland Park, Kansas-based outsourcer did not disclose the cost of the deal. This is its first major acquisition in recent past.
Alliance provides inbound and outbound call center services specializing in customer care, customer acquisition & retention, and roadside assistance.
Founded in London, Ontario 20 years ago by Dave and Sheila LeClair, Alliance expanded to South Bend, Indiana in 2009.
“Sheila and I made the decision last year that it was time to retire and enjoy some of our other passions that retirement will enable us to pursue,” stated Dave LeClair, indicating the reason for the sale.
Dave will stay with the business only until the end of this year but the company’s current chief Mark LeClair will continue working for Allied Global, heading up business development for Alliance in North America. Mark LeClair joined the executive team as an owner in 2009.
The purchase takes Allied Global’s total number of call centers to 28. A large number of its employees are based in Guatemala, from where its provides accounts and receivable service to dozens of clients in North America.
“Getting to know the management team at Alliance over the last couple of months gave me great confidence that the value the team brings to our growth plans really cemented everything we had learned about Alliance through our discussions with the LeClairs and our due diligence activities,” said David Rae, President & CEO of Allied Global.
