Announcing the Power 50 2013: The Real Operators

Members of the third annual Nearshore Americas Power 50 Ranking – announced here today – demonstrate the real character of this emerging, chaotic and scrappy young industry. The ranking, which is the result of a five-month nomination and review process, strives to bring to light the spark and inspiration that powers the Nearshore business community. The list is remarkable for several reasons. Notice that a large number of the top ten finishers are the inspirational leaders behind some of the most progressive software firms in the region, such as Globant, Avantica, Ci&T and Zemoga. Also, it is important to note that the real ‘doers’ of the industry have also risen to the top – from number one finisher Ankur Prakash, the Latin America EVP and COO of high-flying Tata Consultancy Services, to  the courageous and outspoken CEO at Sofftek, Blanca Trevino, landing in the fourth spot.
