Argentina’s president, Mauricio Macri, has selected Luis Robbio, the CEO and Co-founder of Belatrix Software, to be part of a new “Knowledge Commission”, which has a mandate to boost economic growth via the knowledge-based economy and technological innovation.
“I believe we must emphasize education, and better prepare young people for careers in the knowledge economy,” Robbio was quoted as saying in a press release.
Knowledge-based services incorporate a number of areas, from software development to professional services, and have been singled out by the Argentine government as an engine of growth for the economy.
As such, this new Commission will be tasked with finding ways of making this a reality within the next 10 years.
