CI&T Acquires Domestic Tech Consultant Box 1824

Brazilian IT services firm CI&T acquired Box 1824, a São Paulo-based consultant whose tech solutions give businesses a deeper insight into the upcoming trends in the marketplace.

Box 1824 uses a variety of techniques -such as “3D methodology”- to detect behavioral trends well in advance so its clients can design their products for the future.

“Box 1824 has been bridging the gap between future and present tenses for almost two decades […] It is globally recognized for Detect, Decode and Direct […] behavior trends and tech changes,” CI&T stated in a press release.

Although it employs only 40 persons, Box 1824’s roster of clients includes the likes of Google, Nike, Itau, Novartis, Disney, XP Investments, NuBank and Spotify.

“We’ve been helping global companies create and strategize their futures. Now, as part of the CI&T family, we will be able to offer the continuation of the journey up to the implementation, a key factor to make sure that tipping points don’t get lost in execution,” said Paula Englert, CEO at Box 1824.

CI&T assured that Box 1824  would continue to work independently, with Englert still overseeing day-to-day operations.

CI&T is one of the very few Latin American tech firms with operations in China and Australia. Its valuation jumped to US$2 billion after it listed its shares on the New York Stock Exchange in November last year.

This is the company’s second acquisition after it went public. Earlier in February this year, it purchased London-based digital agency Somo.
