“Our recent CX Guyana visit proved to be an ideal framework for our facilitated-mission model, where Nearshore Americas guides BPO customers in interpreting the real, on-the-ground opportunity for placing work,” said Kirk Laughlin, Managing Director of Nearshore Americas.

Boasting a large English-speaking population, Jamaica prides itself on being home to the Caribbean’s most prolific sourcing industry. The country offers a variety of incentives to professional services providers, and also boasts a robust set of options for North America flight connections.

“Jamaica is already a ‘tried and proven’ destination for the BPO industry,” says Claude Duncan, Vice President of Jampro. “We have about 50 BPO firms operating in the country, collectively employing in excess of 25,000 call center agents.”

Delegates attending the mission  will gain a deeper insight into the Jamaica business process outsourcing and contact center services options through discussions with industry peers and exclusive on-site visits.

Claude Duncan: “I think that BPO executives coming as part of the trade delegation will be pleasantly surprised to see the success of the industry on the island”

“Many foreigners assume that Jamaica is popular only for tourism,” added Duncan. “I think that BPO executives coming as part of the trade delegation will be pleasantly surprised to see the success of the industry on the island. We have large campuses of foreign call center firms, well-developed economic zones, and the University of West Indies, each giving Jamaica many ways to surprise new visitors.”

Sponsored by IBEX GlobalItelBPOVXI Global Solutions, and Jampro, the lead agency for knowledge services investment into Jamaica, CX Jamaica is one of a string of successful trade missions organized by Nearshore Americas.
