Legendary actor Robert De Niro is continuing to support Antigua and Barbuda, pitching the Caribbean hotspot at an investment conference in Dubai.
De Niro was named as a special economic envoy for the twin-island nation in 2014, when he and Australian billionaire James Packer announced the Paradise Found hotel project in Barbuda.
“It’s a beautiful place, that’s why I’m involved in this project,” he said during a press conference at the Palazzo Versace in Dubai, joined by the nation’s Prime Minister, Gaston Browne.
Expected to cost around US$250 million, the Paradise Found project will begin construction in early 2017.
