Ecuador Event Seeks to Empower Women in Digital Topics

This week, the town of Guayaquil, Ecuador is playing host to an event that seeks to educate and empower women in digital issues.

Taking place on Tuesday, November 7 and Wednesday, November 8, in the Plaza Rodolfo Baquerizo Moreno, “Empower: Girls in Charge” features 5 lecturers and 15 workshops.

The event is organized by Girls in Tech Ecuador, a global non-profit organization that has been focusing on the professional and emotional development of Ecuadorian women and girls since 2015.

By educating and training women in digital issues, Girls in Tech seeks to eliminate the gender gap that exists between women and technology. In addition, these initiatives are accelerating the learning process for innovative women in Ecuador and motivating them to use digital channels.
