Even with its native English-speaking population and its eastern time zone, Guyana — a country bordering Venezuela and Suriname on the Caribbean coast of South America — is still struggling to become a well-known Nearshore BPO hot spot, but, on the ground, the excitement surrounding the industry is palpable.
During a Nearshore Americas trade mission, Owen Verway, CEO of Go-Invest, the local trade promotions agency, spoke to Kirk Laughlin about the country’s lesser-known strengths, and the activities being undertaken to further boost BPO.
