Infographic: Delivering Results Grounded in Art and Science
One of the reasons many observers believe Latin America has emerged so brilliantly in software services and innovation is because agile development calls on two key elements of the common profile of the Latin American IT professional. These characteristics are widely evident to anyone who has spent time among software engineers in the region. They are a sound, rigorous foundation in the sciences, and a flair for creative pursuits and expression. Practicing agile requires that practitioners excel in employing techniques that call on both art and science.
Another clue in the massive migration toward more flexible software development practices is the requirements of the end-customer. These individuals require value. They require partners who know how to listen. And they require results. Our data below demonstrates the expectations executives have in approaching software programs, and why so many are delivered along the path of scrum.
Nearshore Americas used data from the State of Scrum report, by the Scrum Alliance, to see which variables lead executives to choose scrum for their projects. We also retrieved the results of a paper presented in the International Conference on Agile Software Development (2018) on agile practices and trends adopted in Latin America.
The following infographic is the visual companion to this week’s first The Exchange report on the experiences of Nearshore scrum masters.
