Latin America, home to emerging markets like Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, is a region of fast-growth matched only by Asian markets. With its rapidly maturing regulatory and legal environments, high economic growth, rising competitiveness, booming populations, and not to mention its increasingly significant consumer demand, LATAMis taking the word-stage as a power player.
As Google noted in November 2012, upon announcing plans to open a $150 million data center in Chile, “As internet usage in Latin America grows, people are looking for information and entertainment, new business opportunities and better ways to connect with friends and family near and far.”
