The team at Nearshore Americas will, in the next few days, launch an entirely new web home for the NSAM brand, containing a set of state-of-the-art features that we firmly believe will deepen your engagement with our content and strengthen your connection to the larger community of passionate believers in Latin America and Caribbean sourcing and services.
The driving focus of this effort (a culmination of over eight months of planning, programming and migration work) has been to raise our game, arriving at what we have called internally: “NSAM 2.0”. This month also marks the fourth year of operation for Nearshore Americas. We consider ourselves to be among the luckiest journalists, analysts, designers and marketing and sales professionals anywhere on the planet because of the deeply meaningful nature of our mission.
Nearshore Americas was founded with a simple concept – to illuminate, break down perceived barriers and deliver meaningful market insights that looks beyond often soulless and dry business information. Our mission has been to tell the human story of working with partners across the region, and make our reporting real and tangible.
Our plan remains to grow alongside the technology services industry of this hemisphere, and reflect back a brand that expresses more than the familiar rallying cry of: same time zone, close proximity and cultural alignment.
Four years have gone quickly. I myself continued to be amazed at the enormous support Nearshore Americas has received from all corners of the Americas, virtually from day one. Yet, our maturation has been held back in part because of a single-minded focus on news and analysis. While NSAM will continue to lead the Nearshore market with authoritative information, we are also in the midst of expanding our business lines – in keeping with our multi-year plan to strengthen our core value proposition. In the months to come, you will hear much more about our new “Connection Center”, new research channels and dedicated country portals.
It may sound cliche, but we are just getting started. Our plan remains to grow alongside the technology services industry of this hemisphere, and reflect back a brand that expresses more than the familiar rallying cry of: same time zone, close proximity and cultural alignment. Providers using those pillars to hang their marketing message on are increasingly looked at as unimaginative and unable to draw a sharp distinction between their offerings and competitors.
For outsourcing customers, quality still is the ultimate driver. They want brilliant ideas, disciplined processes and a little magic. These are some of the elements that are part of our Nearshore 2.0 vision.
