Matt KendallCloud computing is having a greater impact on the IT services market, with the as-a-service niche now accounting for more than one third of the world’s sourcing market.
This revelation comes from Information Services Group (ISG), which expanded its quarterly market index to look specifically at the as-a-service segment of IT and BP services industry.
Since 2014, the as-a-service segment has nearly doubled its share, according to ISG, and the firm predicts that growth to continue in the cloud computing segment over the long term as more work is automated and moved to the cloud.
