Rewired School Searches for the “Next Steve Jobs” in LATAM

Rewired School, an online learning platform, is set to organize a unique program, aiming to identify young and prospective digital entrepreneurs in Latin America.

Known as the”One Million Challenge,” the program has the backing of several large technology firms, including Google, IBM and Microsoft.

The competition, which kicks off on February 16, will select 100 of the best business proposals and connect the entrepreneurs with investors.

Selected entrepreneurs will receive top digital tools and travel globally to understand solutions already developed by individuals or organizations, according to Rewired School, headquartered in San Francisco, California.

The goal is to find a Latin American version of Steve Jobs. In other words, the program aims to find a visionary figure that could revolutionize the IT industry.

Organizers appear to be seeking solutions to pressing problems, such as environmental degradation and energy waste.

“Our ultimate goal is a world full of playfully creative people, who are constantly inventing new possibilities for themselves and their communities,” stated Rewired School in its Linkedin Profile.
