Stefanini Appoints Spencer Gracias As its New Chief For North America

Stefanini has named Spencer Gracias as its new chief executive for its operations in North America and Asia-Pacific, where the Brazilian IT firm wants to achieve 25% growth by 2020.

Gracias, who joined the company as vice president in July 2016, replaces Antonio Moreira, who left in December.

“I am sure that Spencer Gracias has the capacity, experience and energy to put this plan into practice,” said Marco Stefanini, Stefanini’s founder and global CEO.

Forty three-year-old Gracias has been tasked with turning Stefanini into a ‘digital transformation agent’ for customers in North America.

Gracias has worked with Whirlpool, CPFL Energia, Globo TV, General Motors, ABN Amro Bank, and Santander Bank. He has two MBA degrees and two post-MBA degrees in marketing and strategic resource management.

The Brazilian firm is currently looking forward to inaugurating its first ‘Innovation Center’ in the United States, which will be part of its newly built headquarters in Detroit. The center will focus on developing customer loyalty platforms, cognitive intelligence solutions, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing.

“North America is the largest technology consumer market in the world and one of the great promoters of innovation. Since we began our operations in the United States in 2001, we have worked to expand our local operations,” added Marco Stefanini.
