TaskUS inaugurates ‘Arena’ in Colombia to Lure Employees Back to the Office

US business process outsourcing (BPO) firm TaskUs unveiled a mega office called “The Arena” in the Colombian city of Cali.

The new office campus features a gym, a cafe, a meditation room and a small indoor stadium for workers to refresh themselves in the middle of their duty hours.

The Texas-based customer services provider began operations in Cali in March 2021, asking all its new hires to work from home. Now, The Arena will ease the task of bringing those employees back to the office.

“We currently have hundreds of employees finally coming to The Arena,” said Guillermo Ulloa, VP of operations for TaskUs in Colombia. “They are also very much looking forward to working in the office alongside their colleagues and experiencing all that The Arena facilities have to offer.”

In Colombia, TaskUs also runs a language academy that teaches English to local citizens willing to work in the global services industry. Most of its current employees were once trainees at the academy.

In March this year, TaskUs said that it would hire more English teachers for its academy, adding that it is vital to have more job-ready talents for its operations in the country.
