Oiga Technologies, a Colombia-based software corporation specializing in the development of new technologies such as AI, ML and blockchain, has been bought by Pakistani IT services provider 10pearls.
This is 10pearls’ second acquisition in Latin America in as many years. In 2022, the firm acquired Whiz, a Peru-based software development company, expanding its nearshore delivery capabilities.
Oiga’s business is more geared towards data analytics; the company assists businesses in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data in order to get deeper insights into their operations. Clients employ some of its AI technologies to automate tasks, and Colombian banks use its blockchain solutions to increase transparency in financial transactions.
Excited to announce that @oigatechnologies is now part of 10Pearls. OIGA specializes in emerging tech including Al, ML, big data, and blockchain. Congratulations to Michael Puscar, Bob Reisenweber and the fantastic Oiga team! https://t.co/LGDRni4VUG pic.twitter.com/DzTd3o2YlX

Oiga has two delivery centers in Colombia: one in Rionegro and another in Medellin. The company is headquartered in Bonita Springs (Florida), with an overall headcount of over 120 tech professionals.
Once the transaction is closed, Oiga will be folded into 10pearls. The Colombian firm’s founder, Michael Puscar, will continue to serve as an advisor, while Bob Reisenweber, Oiga’s current CEO, will manage 10Pearls operations in Latin America.
The acquisition brings 10pearls global headcount to more than 1,600. About a quarter of the firm’s staff is based in Latin America.
