TP Strengthens AI Push with Acquisition of Crowdsourcing Platform

TP (formerly Teleperformance), the global BPO giant, has acquired Agents Only, an AI-enabled crowdsourcing platform that connects enterprises with certified skilled professionals across the globe.

The move is part of TP’s aggressive pivot toward artificial intelligence and digital transformation, as it diversifies beyond its traditional BPO roots.

The acquisition bolsters TP.ai Data Services by providing on-demand access to a global talent pool, enabling faster delivery of high-precision data labelling, annotation, and generative AI support.

Agents Only brings a smart workforce engine capable of managing thousands of AI-literate annotators, data scientists, and domain specialists.

With over 20 delivery centers and a flexible gig-based model, the company offers scalability and deep expertise across text, image, audio, video, and geospatial data services.

“This gives us the ability to tap into the right domain talent instantly,” said TP Deputy CEO Thomas Mackenbrock. “It accelerates time-to-market and ensures quality outcomes for our clients.”

The move comes as TP seeks to rebuild investor confidence after a turbulent period in public markets. The company’s stock suffered in recent years due to shrinking BPO margins and growing automation pressure.

In response, TP launched a €100 million (US$114 million) AI investment plan in February 2025, signaling a strategic shift toward high-growth digital areas.
