2019’s Best of Nearshore Award Nominations Now Open

Nearshore Americas is proud to invite the Nearshore community to participate in the fourth annual ‘Nexus Illuminate Awards’ program by submitting nominations in up to six categories. Submit your nominations for free at the Nexus Illuminate page.

“A key part of the role of Nearshore Americas is to shine a light on true excellence. This process both celebrates the achievements of the award-winner while also inspiring others to reach higher,” said Nearshore’s Managing Editor Bianca Wright, who is a member of the judging panel for 2019.  During the last three years, there have been 18 award-winners, representing the diverse nature of this marketplace – from cities like Guadalajara and Buenos Aires (winners of “City of the Year”), to entrepreneurs like Ricardo Duran of Outsource S.A. in Bogota, to companies of the year like call center group Qualfon and URU-IT from Uruguay.

The Illuminate Awards focus on six different categories: Executive of the Year, City of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Investment Promotions Professional of the Year, and Voyager of the Year.

NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN HERE FOR 2019’S BEST OF NEARSHORE AWARDS

Last year Mario Batista, President of Alorica’s LatAm operations, bagged the Executive of the Year award, while Andres Angelani, CEO of Softvision, turned out to be the Voyager of the year, highlighting members of the Nearshore community who have taken unusual paths to reach new levels of noteworthy achievement.

The jury panel declared Kingston, Jamaica, the Nearshore City of the Year, in recognition of the the city’s growing investment in creating much wider space for the BPO industry to expand.

Gustavo and Ricardo Parés, the brothers who co-founded Nearshore Delivery Solutions (NDS), a company dedicated to creating nearshore delivery capabilities for global IT service companies,  won the award for Nearshore Entrepreneurs.

Meanwhile, Carlos Pallotti, who spearheaded a program in Argentina designed to develop talent for the software services industry, took home the award for top Investment Professional. IT services giant TCS won the Nearshore Company of the Year award.

The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2019. and winners will be announced and honored during the Opening Night Ceremony at Nexus 2019 on May 15th in New York City.
