Delta Expands Winter Routes Across Caribbean and Latin America

American carrier Delta Air Lines is boosting its winter travel offerings with a major expansion of routes to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America.

The carrier has announced that it will launch nonstop flights from its Atlanta hub to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada, starting Dec. 20.

The airline will add or resume flights to several sun-soaked destinations just in time for the holiday travel rush.

From its Atlanta hub, Delta will increase daily service to Punta Cana, St. Thomas, Guatemala City, San Salvador, Panama City, Belize City, and Guadalajara. It will remain the only U.S. carrier offering nonstop service from Atlanta to these destinations.

In a broader move, Delta is ramping up flights to Cancun from Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York-JFK. It’s also increasing service from Los Angeles and Salt Lake City to Puerto Vallarta.

“Customers across the U.S. will benefit from more flights to top destinations from hubs in the Midwest and Northeast,” said Paul Baldoni, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning.
