The region’s beautiful beaches are among the top perks of business travel to Latin America. So as fall weather approaches in North America, it’s time to start planning a trip to one of the 10 best playas in the region. Rio de Janeiro in Brazil gets much of the press — and rightfully so. Gorgeous green hills make its beaches breathtaking, but the nation also boasts incredible sandy shores in Florianopolis and Fortaleza. In nearby Southern Cone countries, you also can’t go wrong with Mar Del Plata Beach in Argentina or Punta del Este in Uruguay. For those who aren’t flying so far south, Nicaragua’s Little Corn Island is a treasure. It takes some planning to get there — but if you can spare a couple days, there are few better places in Central America to enjoy some secluded relaxation. Although if a bit more action is your scene, try Bocas del Toro in Panama.
