Tiempo Development has launched one more delivery center in the Mexican city of Guadalajara as the U.S. firm attempts to capitalize on the growing demand for agile software development services in North America.
This is Tiempo’s second office in Guadalajara and the fourth in Mexico, with the other two being in Monterrey and Saltillo.
“The new facility was opened to accommodate higher demand in the U.S. for nearshore software services,” said the Arizona-based company in a press release.
Tiempo says that an increasing number of software companies are choosing nearshoring as an option over offshoring because of the time zone, culture, and proximity benefits.
The U.S. firm did not say how many people it would hire for the new office, all it said was that it would use the new facility to offer cloud services.
“The opening of our Guadalajara Software Center is an important step for our company. It will not only expand our service offerings with additional options for our clients, but will also encourage job creation in Guadalajara,” said Cliff Schertz, founder and CEO of Tiempo Development.
Founded in 2006, Tiempo has more than 200 employees and was recently included into Inc. 500 magazine’s ‘Fastest Growing Private Companies in America’ list for 2011 and 2012.
The company says it can help Mexican companies better understand U.S. client requirements and deliver quality software for cloud companies.
