PEAK Outsourcing opened a new delivery center in Belize City, generating high expectations for a jump in employment numbers.
The new facility comes two months after PEAK signed an agreement with the local government to offer BPO skill training to local residents. The company will also assist with job placements.
In July, Belize City mayor Bernard Wagner announced that the partnership with PEAK would create 500 new jobs in Belize’s BPO sector.
Originally founded as Pinoy Partners Incorporated Limited in 2011 in the Philippines, PEAK Outsourcing expanded its operations to Belize in 2022, starting with 120 agents at its office on Coney Drive, in Belize City.
With its bilingual workforce and proximity to the US, Belize is seeing a surge in BPO activity. Over 15,000 Belizeans are now employed in the sector.
The services offered include tech support, customer service and various back-office functions such as finance and accounting.
At the opening of the new center, PEAK CEO Charles Harmornick highlighted that they are looking for candidates with dedication, rather than specific degrees, to build careers in the BPO field.
Belize’s Prime Minister, John Briceño, emphasized that both tourism and BPOs are driving job growth in the country.
