Capgemini Acquires Aodigy, Bolstering Cloud Offering

French IT/BPO giant Capgemini has acquired Aodigy, a Singapore-based digital transformation services provider, strengthening its cloud offering to a great extent.

Aodigy, which also has operational centers in Vietnam, specializes in using Salesforce’s cloud platform to provide CRM solutions, cloud migration and business process automation.

Paris-based Capgemini is apparently seeing a huge demand for cloud-related activities, which reportedly boosted its revenue by 17% in the first quarter of this year.

In a statement, Capgemini said Aodigy would help capitalize on the growing demand for “personalized experiences”.

“Companies and public sector departments are looking for ways to deliver exceptional personalized experiences while continuously reinventing their businesses and offerings,” said Olaf Pietschner, Capgemini’s CEO for the Asia Pacific. “We are responding to this client demand by creating one of the region’s largest and most awarded customer experience teams specializing in the Salesforce ecosystem.”

This is Capgemini’s fifth acquisition in the Asia Pacific region alone in the past year and its second globally in the cloud space. Earlier this year, the French company purchased US-based cloud consulting firm Empired Limited for US$170 million.

“Our expertise and insight in customer relationship management, business and technology are a strong fit with Capgemini’s digital transformation capabilities,” stated Tjioe Yeow Chong, co-founder and partner of Aodigy.
