Narayan AmmachchiAmerican BPO and IT services provider DXC Technology has announced that it will hire 1,200 workers for its office in Conway, Arkansas, as it gears up to increase its capacity to serve Medicaid programs in 30 states.
The Virginia-based firm says it is looking to hire IT developers, business analysts and call center professionals. The new IT professionals it is going to recruit will provide automotive and security information technology services to its clients in the state.
In return for the jobs created for the local residents, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission will give cash rebates to the company.
“A large part of the mission of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and this administration has been to recruit high-paying, high-tech jobs to the state, and we’re thrilled to see DXC expand in Conway,” said Governor Asa Hutchinson.
DXC has already employed 450 people in the Conway facility, the new jobs will be added over the next four years.
“We have a great team in Conway, and our expansion here will create new job and career opportunities, strengthen our educational partnerships, and contribute to the area’s growth economically and as a center of innovation,” said Andrea Fiumicelli, a senior executive of DXC.
Founded in 2017 following the merger of CSC and the enterprise business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, DXC offers numerous services ranging from legacy infrastructure to cloud infrastructure, analytics to BPS services, and contact centers to F&A and HR.
Its nearshore delivery centers are located in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil. DXC’s operations grew substantially in Latin America – particularly in Mexico – after it acquired European software development services provider Luxoft.
