BPO provider FCR has chosen Butte, a small town in the US state of Montana, to launch a new contact center.
Slated to be up and running sometime next year, the contact center will employ around 350 people. New jobs include supervisory and management positions.
This is FCR’s second contact center in Montana, with the remaining 6 US delivery centers located across the state of Oregon. Its other facility in Great Falls, Montana, has employed more than 250 people.
“We’ve been very successful operating in small to mid-size communities in Oregon and Montana – most recently in Great Falls – and we’re really looking forward to continuing that success here in Butte,” said John Stadter, Chairman and Co-founder of FCR.
Eugene, Oregon-based company which also has a delivery center in Mexico, provides customer service through a range of channels, including telephone, text message, and social media.
With over 1,800 employees, FCR is serving over 70 clients, with most of whom are in e-commerce, healthcare, retail, travel and hospitality sectors.
“FCR is changing the face of the outsourcing industry, one call, email, instant message, text, and video conference at a time,” says the company in its website.
Butte Community Development Director Karen Brynes has expressed delight at the news of the expansion, telling local media that FCR’s new facility will help local people who lost jobs following the closer of retail stores by Herbergers and Kmart.
