Firstsource Reverses Plan to Close Down Colorado Delivery Center

Indian outsourcing firm Firstsource Solutions is hiring 300 agents for its call center in Colorado Springs, having abandoned the plan it announced in March to shut down the facility.

The Mumbai, India-based outsourcer is refurbishing its delivery center in Colorado Springs as it has regained an important healthcare client. It had first launched operations in the U.S. city after sealing a previous deal with the same client.

Firstsource  is currently running a job fair and says it will have hired all 300 customer care representatives by the end of January 2015. The healthcare sector is the key industry vertical for Firstsource and it accounts for about 37% of its total revenue.

“We are making significant investments in the region and hiring at a rapid pace to support our growth plans,” said Michael Roy, Vice President at Firstsource. “This is just the beginning for us as we continue to expand and grow our client service capabilities. We look forward to filling these roles with talented professionals in the Colorado Springs market.”

Firstsource said it will add leadership roles to its team in Colorado, including team managers, human resources, recruiting, facilities, IT and trainers to assist in managing its growth plans.
