FPT Software looks set to bolster its operations in the American nearshore as the Vietnam-based IT services provider has tapped technology industry veteran Alejandro Morales as its regional representative.
The news comes two years after FPT acquired the IT services division of U.S.-based Intertec International, which had established delivery strengths in Costa Rica, Colombia and Mexico.
“Morales brings extensive experience in bridging North American companies with Latin American tech talent,” FPT said in a statement.
The company noted that Morales has over 15 years of expertise in forging strategic partnerships between North American clients and Latin American technology providers.
This is FPT’s second major expansion in Latin America, with the company having opened an office in Guadalajara in 2024, known as Mexico’s Silicon Valley.
The company cited a recent Technavio report projecting that the IT outsourcing market in Latin America could grow from $15.5 billion in 2024 to nearly $24 billion by 2028.
FPT’s service portfolio includes wide-ranging IT services, such as custom software development, data engineering, and business application support.
“Our Latin American delivery centers are integral to our global delivery network,” said Phuong Dang Tran, Senior Executive Vice President of FPT Software and CEO of FPT Software Americas.
“They enable real-time collaboration and high-performance service across the Americas. With strong local talent, cultural alignment, and a commitment to global standards, we are redefining nearshore delivery for global enterprises.”
Last year, FPT reported total revenues of $2.47 billion and a global workforce exceeding 54,000 employees across its core business segments.
