German IT firm GFT Technologies has acquired Megawork, a Brazil-based SAP consultancy focused on sectors like manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods.
The deal is part of GFT’s broader strategy to infuse artificial intelligence into core enterprise systems and expand its footprint across key industries.
Headquartered in Vitória, Megawork employs around 350 professionals, operating from major Brazilian cities such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, and Itajaí. The acquisition also marks GFT’s formal entry into the SAP services space — a critical pillar in enterprise digital transformation.
While Megawork will continue to run independently for now, GFT plans to embed its generative AI platform, Wynxx, into the company’s operations in the near future.
In 2024, Megawork posted revenues of approximately $15.26 million with an EBITDA margin of 21%, reflecting strong profitability and operational discipline.
“Megawork’s SAP expertise, combined with GFT’s leadership in cloud and AI, creates a powerful growth engine,” said Marco Santos, Global CEO of GFT. “Our goal is to improve the efficiency of SAP migrations, upgrades and implementations by at least 40%.”
