U.S. software services firm Gorilla Logic is expanding in Costa Rica by adding nearly 60 people to its payroll. According to Costa Rican papers, the expansion is a result of an increase in demand for the company’s nearshore outsourcing services.
The Boulder, Colorado-based company runs a mobile test automation lab in the Costa Rican capital San José. Among its offerings are project outsourcing, nearshore development and staffing services.
For the expansion, Gorilla Logic is looking for software writers who know how to build apps on Java, DevOps, iOS, and Android platforms. All the new recruits are likely to be assigned to the software development projects the company has already undertaken.
Gorilla Logic set up its Costa Rican operation about three years ago. Reports say that Costa Rica’s time zone and cultural alignment with the United States has helped it win new clients. It seems its Costa Rican employees are working in coordination with the senior staff at the company’s U.S. office.
“Video-conferencing at every desktop and conference room make mixed onshore-nearshore delivery seamless,” says the company on its website. “Redundant network connections and UPS provide the reliability we need to deliver top-tier service.”
Gorilla Logic makes much of its money by creating business applications and services for companies in retail, communications, media, entertainment, and financial services. Last year it was ranked among the Top 100 digital companies in Colorado.
