Grant Thornton Acquires Auxis to Launch Full-Service Advisory Offering

Grant Thornton has acquired Auxis, a nearshore outsourcing services provider, with plans to launch what it calls “the industry’s first full-service advisory offering.”

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Auxis operates major delivery centers in Costa Rica and Colombia, with additional support hubs in Mexico and Guatemala. The company has a workforce of approximately 1,400 employees.

In recent years, Auxis has invested in AI technologies to streamline its operations. Post-acquisition, the company will continue to operate independently, with its current leadership team remaining in place.

However, Grant Thornton has confirmed it will integrate Auxis’ AI-driven solutions to strengthen its advisory capabilities.

Analysts note that Grant Thornton stands to gain from Auxis’ nearshore delivery model, particularly the access it provides to Latin American talent — allowing the firm to expand its reach across the region.

Backed by Grant Thornton, Auxis is now positioned to scale operations into new markets, especially where the advisory firm has an established presence.

“Auxis’ proven shared services, nearshoring expertise, and tech-enabled solutions are a natural fit for our world-class model,” said Grant Thornton CEO Jim Peko. “This deal allows us to deepen client engagement and enhance our offerings — delivered with speed, scalability, and quality.”
