Indra Scouts for Tech Workers in Colombia

Spanish IT services provider Indra Systemas launched a hunt for around 100 software professionals in Colombia, offering exorbitant salaries that range from  US$3,000 to US$4,000.

The Madrid-based company, whose Colombian operations grew significantly in 2021 following its acquisition of local IT integrator Consultoría Organizacional, is looking for professionals willing to work both remotely and in a hybrid environment.

Indra hopes to fill hundreds of vacancies in its Bogota, Medellin, Barranquilla and Pereira offices, where it operates a mega software development office, according to local media reports.

The company has been present in Colombia for more than 20 years. As of December 2022, it had approximately 3,500 Colombian employees.

Latin America accounts for more than 30% of Indra’s revenue. The company reportedly employs 15,000 people in the region, where it operates eight software labs and 17 centers of excellence.

While it scouts for talent in Colombia, the Spanish tech company is also in the process of appointing a new CEO to replace Ignacio Mataix, saying the reshuffle is necessary to implement its new strategic plan for the coming years.
