Government is not exempt from the wave of digital transformation sweeping the world, and tech entrepreneurs like Paola Santana have taken notice.
Santana is the CEO and Co-Founder of Glass, a digital marketplace for government purchases that aims to transform the way procurement is handled by local governments and, in the process, push small and medium-sized enterprises at a local scale.
Hailing from the Dominican Republic and now working full time from Silicon Valley, Santana has come a long way. She began her journey as a lawyer and procurement expert, eventually jumping into the tech world with high hopes for change.
In our chat with Santana, she explains the philosophy behind Glass, her logic for pushing digital transformation processes in government and Glass’ experience with the US government as a user of their tech platform and customer of their software services.
