Neoris Opens Brazilian Facility to Focus on SAP

Latin America IT consulting firm Neoris has opened a nearshore outsourcing center in the Brazilian city of Alphaville, in São Paulo state, the company said in a statement.

The initiative is the company’s largest investment in the country, Neoris Brazil president Frederico Vilar previously told BNamericas when he revealed plans for the center. Vilar did not disclose the amount involved, though.

The facility will be integrated with Neoris’ four other nearshore outsourcing centers – located in Rosario (Argentina), Monterrey (Mexico), Madrid (Spain) and Budapest (Hungary).

Eyeing growth in local demand for services and solutions, Neoris expects that some 90% of the services provided at the new facility will be for the domestic market, while only 10% will concern international business.

The 600m2 building contains a software unit and an application management services test center, with a focus on SAP technologies.

The operation center will also comprise a lab for developing and adopting new technologies and will serve for training specialized personnel, Neoris said.

“Given our goal to recruit around 400 professionals by early 2012, we intend to work hard on bringing these consultants up to speed on [new] technologies,” the CEO said.

The investment “will result in numerous benefits to our customers, such as bringing under one roof our skills, methodologies and technical quality in the various SAP technologies, which will make it possible to add more value to each project.”

For 2011, Neoris expects to repeat its performance of the past two years and double its revenues from Brazil, where it has more than 600 employees and a portfolio of clients that includes Bradesco, Claro, CPFL, McDonalds, Nestlé, Santander, Randon, EMS, Fleury, Impsa, J Macedo, Lanxess, São Martinho, Souza Cruz, Ultragaz and Usiminas.

The company is headquartered in Miami and has 26 offices throughout nine countries. In Latin America, besides Brazil, Neoris operates in Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Argentina.
