The Illuminate Awards focus on six different categories: Executive of the Year, City of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Investment Promotions Professional of the Year, and Voyager of the Year.

As the industry matures and evolves, the world, and especially North America, is paying closer attention. There is incredibly important work being done across the Caribbean and Latin America region, by many incredibly talented individuals, and the Nexus Illuminate Awards is there to shine a light on these activities, giving them the attention they deserve.

During last year’s awards, Uruguayan web and mobile app developer UruIT took home the prestigious Company of the Year award, while Ricardo Duran, Owner of Outsourcing S.A., was declared Entrepreneur of the Year.

The award for Executive of the Year went to Rajeev Gupta, LatAm Head at Indian IT services giant Tata Constancy Services (TCS). Miguel Matey, Region Head at Atento Mexico/LatAm, took home the Voyager of the Year award.

Vanessa Gibson of Costa Rican investment promotion agency, Cinde, won the Investment Promotion Professional of the Year. Meanwhile, judges chose Buenos Aires and ranked it as the best City of the Year.
