TCS Locks AI Contract with Claro in Colombia

India’s IT services giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) secured a four-year contract to inject artificial intelligence (AI) into Claro’s telecom network in Colombia.

Under the agreement, TCS will leverage its AI and machine learning expertise, along with VIAVI Solutions’ network monitoring technologies, to tackle the complexities of Claro’s multi-vendor network infrastructure.

Claro’s network encompasses diverse elements like base stations, HFC nodes, FTTH trunks and digital and fiber optic centers. TCS and VIAVI will unify these components into a “single pane of glass,” presenting a comprehensive view of network health and performance to Claro’s engineers.

By enabling early detection and precise localization of network issues, the system empowers Claro’s technicians to resolve problems faster, minimizing downtime and ensuring service continuity.
