Nearshore Americas is launching a new webinar which will shed light on the intense competition for tech talent in Latin America and explore strategies designed to offer guidance on winning the battle to hire IT professionals.
Scheduled for November 3, 2:00 PM (EDT), the event will guide attendees through all stages of recruitment, explore the role of staffing agencies in the current job market and identify which skills are in high demand. The ‘special broadcast’ webinar will also discuss how to keep up with rising employee expectations and where to set up new Nearshore operations.
“In virtually every single market where IT talent is available in the Nearshore, we are seeing hiring firms in fierce competition. Not only do we plan to explore the ‘state’ of recruitment and staffing, we also want to extract strategies that are actually proving effective in such an environment,” says Kirk Laughlin, managing director at Nearshore Americas, who will also moderate the session.
Key speakers will include Rafael Perez, COO and Sales Director at NDS Cognitive Labs; Luis Derechin, Co-Founder at Nir-Yu; and Rohan Kulkarni, Chief Marketing Officer at Revelo, a platform dedicated to hiring talent in Latin America.
Latin America has long been a favorite hunting ground for US tech firms due to its time zone alignment with major American cities. With the rise of remote work, hiring talent in the Nearshore is far easier than ever. As remote work becomes part of the norm, the tech sector is accepting that developers can work for anyone and from anywhere.
Nearshore Americas has reported on how some American firms are using platforms like Torre and Telescoped to hire talent directly in the region.
Latin America is turning into an important source of tech talent. According to California-based market research firm Evans Data Corp, the region has the second highest growth numbers for the the creation of software developers.
The practice where clients and customers based in the USA are choosing to ‘hire direct’, will also be explored. Register here for the webinar.
