Since Nearshore Americas launched 17 years ago, the process of reaching and engaging with our audience has become a lot more complex.

Back then, we could simply post a story, share it on social media, send it out via email and Google would do the rest.

Today, with AI summaries and rewrites intercepting readers, and search engines and social media becoming less reliable for publishers, it’s become much more difficult to connect with our audience, or control how that connection happens.

After lots of internal analysis, we have arrived at a really important moment in the evolution of our platform.

What to expect from memberships

Today, membership gives you access to a handful of features:

  • Read every members-only story when it lands
  • Free subscription to our Weekly Roundup newsletter
  • Better newsletter and communications management
  • Save articles for later
  • A more direct relationship with our team

If you’d like to make an account, you can register here.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be testing the registration wall, responding to feedback, analyzing metrics, and tweaking the user experience.

By collecting this essential data, we can greatly enhance our relationship with those of you who regularly read our content. This leads to more valuable content, better newsletters, smarter virtual and in-person events, and memberships worth paying for, when the time comes.

Today’s new membership registration is how we start to close that gap.

What comes next

Nearshore Americas is proudly independent, and we aim to keep it that way, so later this year, we’ll be expanding our membership options and offering new ways for readers to support our work, along with providing more value to those that do.

Until then, we will continue to call on you to contribute your best ideas and ensure we remain the world's leading resource for the thriving cross-border knowledge economy.
