SoftServe, the Ukraine-born IT services firm, is expanding its talent search beyond Chile’s major cities by opening a new delivery center in Chillán, a relatively unknown town in the Ñuble region.
The Austin-based company has already hired 10 remote professionals in southern Ñuble and plans to add another 40 in the coming months. The Chillán office will act as a regional hub for teams across southern Chile, supporting international clients with services in artificial intelligence, cloud development, and digital modernization.
SoftServe Chile Country Manager Jaime Oviedo said the company selected Ñuble for its pool of young talent and emphasized that the new roles will allow local professionals to work on U.S. and Canadian projects without leaving the region.
Founded in Ukraine in 1993, SoftServe employs more than 10,000 people across 20 countries. It entered the Chilean market in 2022 during a surge in demand for software professionals. Since then, it has launched a training academy that has upskilled more than 600 people nationwide, including over 150 trainees in Ñuble in 2024.
SoftServe is also the only foreign firm to receive Corfo’s IFI Fund, an acknowledgment of its job creation outside Santiago. The company now plans to invest US$100,000 in its technical training initiatives, developed through partnerships between the public sector and academic institutions to align local talent with market needs.
