Concentrix Opens Third Delivery Center in Guatemala

Global customer experience (CX) services provider Concentrix this week inaugurated its third headquarters in Guatemala, located in Zone 14 of Guatemala City, marking a $25 million direct investment and the creation of 500 new jobs.

Speaking at the inauguration, Francisco Robert, Vice President of Operations for Concentrix in Guatemala and Nicaragua, said the company is undergoing a fundamental shift in its business model. “We are no longer a call center. That has evolved and changed; we are a technology company,” he noted.

With the new facility, Concentrix now employs around 1,000 people across three strategic locations in the capital — Zones 12, 13 and 14 — and expects to add at least another 500 positions over the course of the year.

The company operates in 11 countries across Latin America and employs approximately 65,000 people in the region. Executives told local media that the majority of Concentrix’s workforce in Guatemala consists of young professionals aged between 24 and 25, earning more than twice the country’s minimum wage.

Most Guatemalan employees provide services to Concentrix’s clients in sectors such as telecommunications, virtual banking and technology. The latest expansion, executives said, reflects growing demand for higher-value, specialized services in accounting, finance and corporate procurement, primarily for clients in the United States.

That shift toward specialization is also reflected in compensation levels. While the company’s average salary in Guatemala is about three times the minimum wage, employees with advanced profiles — such as technical English proficiency and expertise in finance or procurement — can earn between six and eight times the minimum wage, the company said.

Concentrix’s growth underscores the broader expansion of Guatemala’s business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, which currently employs about 55,000 people, according to the Ministry of Labor. The services sector is expected to remain a key growth driver, with AGEXPORT projecting an expansion of around 8% by 2026, led largely by knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) and technology-based services.
