American management consulting giant Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has expanded operations to Costa Rica by launching an office in San Jose.
The Boston, Massachusetts -based company stated that it would hire 400 people in the Central American country over the next two years.
The Costa Rican office will mostly serve the company’s clients in North America while providing support services to its own consultants elsewhere in the world. BCG runs similar offices in Atlanta, New Delhi, and Madrid.
“The office will be a hub for regional and global functional teams to be co-located in a dynamic and engaging space, enabling team members to connect with and serve our BCG and client customer base in North America, as well as other global support for BCG staff and consultants around the world,” the company stated.
Boston Consulting is also hiring IT professionals and data scientists in the Central America country. In a press release, the company stated that it had already hired 70 employees in the country, adding that it would accelerate recruitment in the coming months.
Founded in 1963, BCG offers solutions through management consulting and corporate and digital ventures.
