CFI Haiti (Center for Investment Facilitation), the Caribbean country’s investment promotion agency, has appointed Tessa Jacques (pictured) as its new Executive Director, replacing Norma Powell.
“I am installing [Mrs. Jacques] with the mission to work to strengthen the CFI, improve the business climate, and develop a new strategy to promote investment,” said Minister Du Mény during the announcement.
Mrs. Jacques has promised that she will act on the positive actions that the CFI has made so far. “We will also work with all CFI branches, services, and partners to put an end to backward practices and discouraging harassment to improve the business environment in a structured and sustainable manner,” she said.
