(BUSINESS WIRE) — CSC announced last week that it has been positioned in the “leaders” quadrant of the Gartner report, Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services (COPS), Worldwide.(1) The report examines 17 vendors of IT services for business communications systems worldwide.
According to Gartner, “While cost benefits related to outsourcing act as a significant driver in the market, forthcoming COPS deals indicate new, emerging market force trends. Among the most significant trends seen are business requirements to bring robust, integrated unified communications portfolios to the table for consideration once consolidation and optimization phases are completed.” In addition, Gartner notes that “very few COPS providers are able to meet all customer requirements, across all countries and geographies, leveraging organic resources for IT service delivery.”
The report was authored by Eric Goodness and covers global providers of communications outsourcing and professional services.
“COPS is an exciting new magic quadrant because it brings collaboration, network, mobility, security and cloud into a single forum focused on how customers purchase and use applications in their business today,” said Jason Cory, global vice president for CSC’s Managed Services Sector (MSS). “I believe our positioning in the Leaders Quadrant is indicative of our commitment to provide innovative services to our customers, which are designed to reduce latency in human decision-making by improving worker connectedness to applications, customers and suppliers. We intend to strengthen our position in the market by bringing new levels of industrialization, vertically focused industry specialization and market leading innovation in this space. Unlike our competitors, our offerings provide a level of integration that brings applications and network capabilities together in a fully managed and hosted model — supporting our platform-based, Applications-focused, delivery strategy for on premise, hosted, cloud or hybrid solutions.”
