Demand Frontier Organizes Webinar on Innovative Spirit of Medellín

Professional services provider Demand Frontier is gearing up to organize a webinar about how Medellin, Colombia has emerged as a hotbed of IT and digital marketing talent. The webinar will focus on how companies can leverage Medellin’s technology infrastructure and access the city’s talent pool.
The webinar, which will run for an hour, is scheduled for this Thursday, 2pm EST. Guests can register here.
Medellin was declared the most innovative city in 2013 in a survey jointed conducted by the Urban Land Institute, Citi Financial Group and Wall Street Journal Magazine. The Colombian city outshined Israel’s Tel Aviv and New York to emerge victorious in the final round of the contest, where 980,000 people voted.
The organizers of the contest said they took into account eight factors on their way to choose the most innovative city and some of these factors include environment, culture and livability, economic and investment climate, progress and potential, education and human capital.
“Colombia offers the best of both worlds – lower costs and higher quality, in a vibrant, stable and growing economy,” says Austin, Texas-based firm, which has long been running a nearshore delivery center in Medellin.
The keynote speaker on the webinar is Norman Newton, president of Demand Frontier. Newton, who was with ManpowerGroup for nearly 10 years, is also serving as Managing Partner for Notre Capital Ventures and as a Board Member of Texas Taxi.
Over the past years, Demand Frontier has deepened its relationship with RutaN, Medellin’s technology acceleration organization, ProColombia, Colombia’s Economic Development arm, and Colombian universities.
The US firm says the city offers a large pool of professional talent with a strong work ethic, innovative mindset, and a powerful will to learn and excel.
