El Farallon de Tepic is a seafood haven tucked away in a corner of Zapopan, Guadalajara. Foodies can enjoy a whole range of seafood options, but the standout dish comes in the form of “zarandeado” fish, shrimp and octopus, which are each slow grilled over a wood fire to bring out some incredible flavors.
Entrees are harvested fresh from the Pacific at Mazatlan and Puerta Vallarta the day before, and trucked overnight to Guadalajara.
El Farallon de Tepic has some great ambiance too. With it’s semi-outdoor, open-plan layout, and mariachi bands playing on stage, even at lunchtime, this is a real authentic Mexican experience.
Fish lovers would be mad to miss this little gem.
