Latin American fintech firm Evertec Inc has agreed to its Brazilian rival Dimensa S.A. for US$181 million, strengthening its presence in the region’s largest market as competition intensifies in digital banking and back-office services.
The transaction will be carried out through Evertec’s wholly owned subsidiary, Evertec Brasil Informática S.A., and is subject to approval by Brazil’s antitrust authority, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE).
Dimensa provides software and technology services to banks, asset managers, insurers and other financial institutions. The company was formed in 2021 after Brazilian software group Totvs and B3, the operator of Brazil’s main stock exchange, combined their financial services technology assets. Dimensa currently serves more than 15,000 clients, according to Evertec.
The company offers products that include card processing, credit analysis, and banking management systems. The company serves more than 15,000 financial institutions and has approximately 1,000 employees in Brazil.
The acquisition is Evertec’s fourth in Brazil in recent years. The company bought PaySmart and Sinqia in 2023 and acquired Tecnobank in 2025 as part of a strategy to build scale in banking, payments and regulatory technology.
Evertec President and CEO Mac Schuessler said the deal would broaden the company’s offerings across banking, funds, risk and insurance platforms. Analysts note that Brazil’s fast-growing fintech sector continues to attract foreign buyers seeking exposure to digital transformation in financial services.
