Experian Will Increase Costa Rican Headcount by 250

Experian, a provider of BPO and data analysis services, is expanding its operations in Costa Rica.

Experian announced its plans to hire 250 more employees in Costa Rica by the end of 2023. Minor Monge, the General Manager of the company in Costa Rica, said in a press release that Experian is looking for bilingual professionals to provide CX services to clients in the United States and the United Kingdom.

One of the major companies in Costa Rica’s knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) industry, Experian opened its first office in San Jose in 2008 and expanded operations to Heredia two years later. Today, Experian has over 1,600 employees in Costa Rica and has been recognized as a “Best Workplace.”

“Costa Rica continues to prove itself a key player in Experian’s success,” Monge added. “Experian has identified a robust cradle of talent with outstanding technical skills and a level of command of the English language capable of supporting fully bilingual operations.

Experian generates much of its revenue from credit reports, which it provides to American banks. These reports help lenders assess the creditworthiness of their customers and to develop marketing campaigns. Reports indicate that Experian serves as many as 13 financial institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom.

In addition to credit reports, Experian also provides a variety of BPO services, including customer service, billing, and collections. Its major clients include telecommunications companies and retailers.
