Faces in the Crowd – Angeles Vela del Río

Angeles Vela del Río is the Director General at the Software Cluster of Nuevo Leon (Consejo de Software de Nuevo León or Csoftmty), Mexico, where she has worked in several roles for the past six years.

Based in the northern city of Monterrey, Angeles was named as the cluster’s new Director General at the beginning of May, 2015, replacing Guillermo Safa Barraza. Since then, she has been successfully maintaining the cluster’s mission, vision, and objectives.

Angeles holds a Licentiate degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).
