Jose Zamora is unique at Capgemini Guatemala. He was the company’s first employee to be transferred to another center when he moved to work in Poland. It was a great experience, living and gaining experience in a new country, but eventually home called him back. Now, as senior service delivery manager back in Guatemala City, his days are divided into operations, people management, and overseeing a key client relationship. With more than 130 people under his charge while serving one of Capgemini’s oldest clients, Zamora has found that home cooking has put a lot on his plate. Not that he is complaining. “I’m always looking for more challenges,” said Zamora. “That was one of the reasons for me to come back to Guatemala a year ago.” Though he is happy to be back, his time in Poland left such a lasting impression that he suspects he will try his hand relocating to another foreign Capgemini center some day in the future — this time alongside his new, five-month-old daughter.
