GlobalLogic Names Nitesh Banga as New CEO

Software engineering services provider GlobalLogic reshuffled its executive team, promoting Nitesh Banga to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Current CEO Shashank Samant, who has led the firm for more than a decade, will assume the role of Chairman on its board of management.

Banga joined GlobalLogic in 2018, after serving India’s IT behemoth Infosys for nearly 20 years. His leadership qualities were put to test in 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic forced GlobalLogic to move thousands of its employees to remote-working environments.

“Nitesh has proven throughout his career that he is a strong leader across both vision and execution,” Samant commented about his successor.

“Nitesh has had an excellent track record as COO of GlobalLogic and I am confident that he will be able to maintain the high momentum of growth in the future,” said Keiji Kojima, President and CEO of Hitachi, Ltd.
